Over the years we have completed many beautiful homes and would like to share with you a glimpse into our new home construction, renovations and design portfolio.
Our Special Feature will allow us to share with you on an ongoing basis the renovation of this magnificent home situated on the beautiful coast of Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Please join us through the renovation stages of this project. We will periodically update the progress with photographs to enable you to follow the transformation as it takes place.
This renovation project is the result of over a year-long planning and design process that took place between the owners and our in house design team. The goal was to enhance the home’s gracious character while meeting a set of unique complex needs. As we ventured into the design process a number of factors had to be accounted for. These include the owner’s desires, the existing structure, the neighborhood, setback restrictions, and the spectacular views. We have utilized timeless design principles and engineering techniques to create a project that we are very proud of and pleased to add to our portfolio.
This home will have many refined stone and shingle style details throughout the interior and exterior of the property. A few of the amenities in this home are as follows:
A “Social” Kitchen: The kitchen blends into the main dining area to promote a social atmosphere. This Dining Area includes the home’s largest fireplace. The original oak butler’s pantry will be maintained for efficient use of space and storage.
A Gracious Master Suite: The master suite includes a spacious bedroom with one of the homes six fireplaces, large closet, exercise room and it’s own laundry facility.
The Billiard Room: The home will have a billiard room with fine woodwork by local craftsmen, a large stone fireplace and bar for entertaining.
Exquisite Overlook Details: The third floor has an elliptical balcony looking down into the second and first floors below.
The Sunroom: A classic old-fashioned sunroom sits to the west side of the home and enjoys the afternoon sun while taking in a full view of the rocky coast and pounding surf of the bold ocean.
